I love my books.  Gotta' have 'em.  Need my escapism.  But I can't always make it to my bookstore before they're off the shelves.  Besides, I live in the boonies, two small towns over from the closest bookstore.  With my lack of time and the price of gas, joining a book club that sends me my favorite books each month. 

I'd much rather spend my time reading and my money buying books instead of gas.  Plus I get a discount on the cover price of the book and only 25 cents shipping and handling (much less than a tank of gas!).
