Site Philosophy

The sole purpose of this site is for fans of all things Harlequin, which includes all Harlequin's subsidiaries, partners and friends.  Information is gathered from public sources and personal reporting.  We DO NOT tolerate plaigiarism or illegal book sales.  We honor authors and their works and expect our site guests to do the same.

Comments/Ratings

All comments and ratings are solely the opinions of the commentor and/or rater.  They do not reflect this site's opinions.  All flaming, mean or abusive comments will be deleted at the discretion of HSReaders Staff.  Spoiler alerts are highly recommended when commenting and may be added by the staff. 

Membership Registration

Most information on this site is available to all non-registered guests.  On occasion, this site may provide limited information only to registered members.  Anyone may register at any time(baring technical problems) at no cost.  You may also unregister at any time. 

Only a verified email is needed for registration. Registrations are verified by automatic email.  Registrants must confirm your desire to register by clicking a link in the email that brings you back to an opt-in permissions form.

Registrants' emails are never, ever given, sold, lent or distributed to anyone for anything in any format.  Registration is simply a way to build a tighter community.  As this site grows,  special privileges, like moderating and adding site information, may be extended to trusted registrants.

Sponsored Contests/Contest Newsletter

HSReaders also hosts contest sponsored by authors.  To enter a contest, you must sign up for the author's newsletter and stay signed up for the duration of the contest (usually two weeks)  You will also be signed up for HSReaders' Contest Alert newsletter.  You may opt out of the Contest Alert at any time. Entering the contest and/or signing up for all newsletters is a double opt-in process.  You sign up with your email address.  We automatically send an email to that address.  You must click a link verifying your desire to enter the contest and sign up for the newsletter.  Clicking the link brings you back to an opt-in permission form.  Both the email and the form have explicit instructions on how to opt-out of the contest/newsletter list. 

When you enter the contest, your email address will be given to the author sponsoring the contest.  The author has agreed to provide an easy opt-out method when using your address, so that yo may opt-out of their newsletter list at any time.

Yes!  We're worth the trouble! As you can tell we detest SPAM.  All the measures we take are to prevent both you and us being SPAM-ed so that we can both have a pleasant environment to enjoy.
